Lean. Slim. Beautiful. Dorad blinked in disbelief. He’d gone to one knee when he heard the doorway open and the woman enter. And now, despite his doubts, he stared at the alabaster skin on the wrist of the woman – who knelt before him?

“My Lord,” a strong, soft voice drew his eyes upwards. “I beg to serve thee.” She stated with head bowed and her own eyes closed.

Sir Dorad Archstone gasped. The future of his city knelt before him, begging to serve him? What in the nine hells had happened to her?
